Dr Marcelo Paez-Pereda, Director Gene Discovery and Validation Before joining Affectis, Dr Paez-Pereda was leader of the Neurosignaling Group at the Max-Planck Institute of Psychiatry where he was in charge of several drug discovery projects for major depression. His research has also lead to the successful identification and validation of novel molecular targets for neuroendocrine diseases, one of which has entered clinical trials for Cushing's disease. Marcelo Paez-Pereda obtained his PhD in the Department of Biology of the University of Buenos Aires. He has published more than 30 scientific publications and was awarded the Ernst-und-Bertha-Scharrer Prize in 2000 and the Lucio Cherny Prize in 2002. |
